Our practice

MRDA was established in 1993 as a specialist architectural practice with a particular interest in the conservation and rehabilitation of high quality architecture including urban spaces and landscapes, as well as building complexes and historic interiors. The Practice also welcomes opportunities for new design in sensitive locations.

We operate as a tight, stable team with the ability, when the need arises, to nominate other disciplines with whom we are familiar, or to provide specialist input to larger professional teams. We operate throughout the UK, and overseas.

Our management structure remains flexible, and we are accustomed to the role of lead consultant working with professionals from the full range of disciplines concerned with new build and conservation, maintenance, use and presentation of historic buildings and sites. We operate from offices in west London, ideally placed for our London based clients and for travel to those in the west, midlands and the north of England. We have a sub office in East Cornwall near Fowey.

Members of the practice take a leading role on a range of specialist statutory and professional advisory bodies, including ASCHB, ICOMOS, COTAC, The London Diocesan Advisory Committee, and RIBA. Our team includes registered members of the Association of Planning Supervisors. The two partners are accredited conservation architects (RIBA, AABC).
