Richard Davies was appointed Architectural Advisor for historic sites and monuments for the National Museum of Kenya (NMK). His duties included Advising the NMK in reviewing and fine tuning the organisation structure provided in the Report on the NMK Staff Rationalisation Study by Deloitte & Touche. This included advising the NMK in defining the core sectors of the institution’s activities, and the sectors to be contracted out; advising in finalising management positions and reporting scheme; advising in fine tuning the job descriptions and the requirements in professional and support staff;
Assisting in the preparation of, and being a facilitator at, the workshop on the new NMK structure held in August 2003, and to advise during the workshop;
Assisting the NMK in writing up the final NMK organisation structure and restructuring implementation plan to be submitted for approval to the NMK Board of Governors;
