A complex stone (Kentish Rag), brick and terracotta envelope was the subject of a detailed survey using a range of hydraulic lifting platforms to obtain access to virtually all parts of this building complex. The result was to obtain a detailed hands examination of all significant defects as well as the removal of decorative elements that were loose and/or in danger of falling. A detailed specification and cost estimate was submitted as the basis for a major current restoration programme.
